Didsbury Juniors was established in 2002 in Fog Lane Park, Didsbury. On the first session, there were 2 players who attended, a brother and sister!
Today, we have over 160 playing members signed up to the Club! Our members come from Didsbury, Withington, Burnage, Fallowfield, Northenden and Chorlton.
We have teams entered in the Stockport Metro league and our home venues are Fog Lane Park and the Barlow RC School. In addition to the teams in the league, we run a Mini-Soccer Centre, every Saturday morning, based at Fog Lane Park. During the Summer and Winter months, each player can attend two sessions per week, one mid-week and one at the weekend.
Peter Coyne, Football Development Coach, delivers coaching sessions for a couple of local primary schools – Beaver Road and Acacias CPS. All of the DJFC coaches are FA and CRB qualified and we pride ourselves on the fact that many of our coaches have worked at professional football clubs and hold Level 2 and 3 coaching qualifications.
As well as on the field activities, the Club also has an active Social Committee that over the past two seasons has raised £1,000 per season which has been donated to two Didsbury Special Schools – the Lancasterian and the Birches.
